Your trip begins at the cruise pier as you make your way through the Jamaican countryside from Montego Bay to Martha Brae. Although the purpose of this transfer is to take you to the site of the rafting trip, the ride along the coastline will take you through small towns and allow you to truly see how interesting Jamaica is.
The rafting trip down this 3-mile stretch of the well-known Martha Brae is one of the most exhilarating in Jamaica. The journey takes about 90 minutes on the long, 2-person bamboo rafts poled by your skilled guide. The upper reaches tumble at a good pace before slowing farther down river where you stop at “Tarzan’s Corner” for a swing and a swim in a calm pool.
After the relaxation of the Martha Brae river, reboard your bus for the short ride back to the Pier. Drive up to the “High level Road” for spectacular views of the ocean and the International Airport. A picturesque moment.
Then, travel through Sam Sharpe Square, the town’s centre which is named after one of our National Heroes, Samuel Sharpe. The history he created is interesting and filled with bravery and courage. Your Tour Guide will tell you all about it and all the other interesting features that make this tour so very unique. Then, continue your journey on the Howard Cooke Highway to the Cruise Ship Pier.
